Day 38 5/8 South Vestal to Philadelphia

A lovely and relatively easy drive today to our new accommodation in Philadelphia. We saw some beautiful farms and more forests and large barns. At a couple of places we even saw some Amish farmers out working their land with a horse-drawn plough. We took a route through Allentown and kept singing the Billy Joel song “Allentown”. Rob has been managing the driving very well so far. The weather continues to challenge us with high temperatures and humidity. Our accommodation in Philadelphia is outstanding. A semi-retired professional woman who could be a very funny comedian if she wanted to greeted us and made us feel immediately at home. She (Sara) has a huge home and the 4 of us have a large bedroom each and our own bathroom. We spent a couple of hours in the afternoon relaxing in the lounge room with Sara, chatting before heading out to a fabulous Vietnamese restaurant for dinner.`
