Day 57 24/8 Friday A “Fine” day for Baseball

After our amazing dinner last night we had a relatively slow and late start to the day. Our first job was to drive the short distance into the city to pay a parking fine we had incurred earlier in the week. Yes we had our first “citation” in the USA for overstaying our parking meter by 30minutes. We thought we should pay our fine ($25) as soon as possible as we may have been hunted down or at least not been allowed back into the country if the fine wasn’t paid. Anyway the lovely lady that took our money had a laugh about it all and told us to “be good” for the rest of our holiday! As we were in the city area we went for a short walk along part of the Tampa Riverwalk. We returned to our accommodation and then later in the afternoon Rob and I went over to St Petersburg to the Tropicana Baseball Stadium to see the Tampa Rays play the Boston Redsox. It was a very entertaining game and the Rays won 10 to 3. We made many new friends who were all wondering what these Australians were doing at the baseball. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and always willing to chat to us.
